Sub-head 84.-B. & F. Department Quarters and Store at Shamshuipo, $15,000.— Permanent quarters and a store for tools and materials are urgently required in Kowloon. At present all employees except those at outstations assemble daily at the Forestry Store, Kennedy Road and from there proceed to the different parts of Hong Kong and Kowloon. This arrangement causes not only waste of time, in the case of employees required in Kowloon side, but the cost of transport is heavy and increases annually. The building will provide accommodation for a Senior Forester, a Foreman and 20 men. The site is in Un Chau Street near its junction with Nan Chang Street.
